One million meals appeal

This Saturday (26 November), the food charity FareShare has teamed up with Sainsbury’s to help fight hunger.

FareShare works with hostels, breakfast clubs and women’s refuges and feed around 35,000 people a day. Tomorrow, they are asking shoppers to donate just one item to complement the fresh food they receive from the food industry and make their resources go a crucial bit further. Volunteers will be by the check out desks to collect food and redistribute it to local charities.

600 branches of Sainsbury’s are taking part, find your local branch by clicking here.
